What Does Ephesians 6:10 Mean?
Ephesians 6:10 means that Christian strength is not primarily about becoming more self-confident or emotionally forceful. Paul directs believers to find their strength in the Lord.
The verse prepares readers for the spiritual conflict described in the verses that follow. Because the struggle cannot be handled by ordinary human strength alone, believers need strength that comes from God.
Being strong in the Lord involves dependence, faith and obedience. It means trusting what God has provided rather than assuming that determination by itself is enough.
The focus is therefore not on how powerful the believer feels. The focus is on the greatness of the God in whom the believer stands.
The Biblical Context of Ephesians 6:10

God’s power does not depend on your mood, energy level or confidence. You can come to Him honestly and ask Him to strengthen you for what lies ahead.
The goal is not to become independent of God. It is to become increasingly dependent on Him and therefore increasingly able to stand.

Admit where you feel weak. Bring the specific pressure, temptation or fear before God.
Ask for God’s strength. Pray before relying only on determination or emotion.

Stand rather than panic. Some spiritual victories involve remaining faithful and refusing to move away from what is true.
Keep praying. Dependence on God is not a one-time decision but a daily pattern.
