What Does Psalm 5:3 Mean?
Psalm 5:3 means that David deliberately begins his day by bringing his voice and prayers before the Lord. Morning becomes a time of orientation: before other voices take over, David turns toward God.
The verse also communicates confidence. David expects God to hear him. His prayer is not directed toward an indifferent or distant God but toward the Lord who listens.
After praying, David watches. This does not mean he demands an immediate answer. It means his prayer creates expectancy. He remains alert to God’s guidance, timing and response.
