What Does Psalm 59:16 Mean?
Psalm 59:16 means that David deliberately answers fear with praise. He does not deny the danger around him, but he refuses to let danger define his view of God.
God’s strength becomes the subject of David’s song because he has experienced the Lord as powerful enough to sustain and protect him.
