What Does Romans 12:2 Mean?
Romans 12:2 means that Christian transformation begins deeply within the person. Paul does not call believers merely to change a few outward habits. He calls for a renewed way of thinking that leads to a renewed way of living.
The world constantly offers patterns for success, identity, relationships, money, status and pleasure. Some of these patterns conflict with God’s purposes. Christians are therefore called to evaluate what influences them rather than simply copying the culture around them.
